Hi, I'm Dennis.
I live for the edit.
I'm Dennis N'Gaide, a freelance video editor, hands-on educator, and the founder of Summum Editor. I have worked professionally in video editing for seven years, but my relationship with the craft started much earlier. I have been editing since I was eight years old.

MY STORY

My work with creators has shaped how I approach editing. Every collaboration taught me something new about storytelling, trust, creative problem-solving, and the responsibility an editor has to the person behind the footage.
I value editing as an art form, and I believe it is a craft that rewards thoughtful practice and attention. Great editing can give an idea clarity, make an audience feel something, and turn raw material into work that people remember.
Summum Editor is my way of sharing that love for editing and filmmaking, with special focus on what I consider the most important part of the process: the edit itself.
