Clear rules for a
creative community.

1. Operator and agreement

Summum Editor is an independent platform operated by Dennis N'Gaide in the Netherlands. By creating an account or using account-only features, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, you may continue browsing public areas but may not create or use an account.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account independently. If you are under 16, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms on your behalf. You must have legal capacity to enter into the agreement applicable to any future purchase.

3. Accounts and security

• Provide accurate information and use an email or connected account you control.
• Keep access links, connected accounts, and devices secure.
• Do not share a paid account, impersonate another person, or evade access controls.
• Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Administrative, membership, seller, payment, and download access is verified on the server and is not granted by browser-side code.

4. Public and account-only services

Public pages, free resources, the shop preview, and community browsing may be available without an account. Uploading, purchasing, course access, private community functions, competitions, or creator tools may require an authenticated account and the relevant membership or purchase.

Features described as coming soon, pre-alpha, preview, or planned may change before release and do not constitute a promise of a specific launch date.

5. Memberships and payments

Community monthly, yearly, and lifetime are the only membership products designated for purchase. Academy, Complete, and the Summum shop remain Coming Soon and do not accept payment. Checkout shows the ex-VAT base, applicable tax, total, billing frequency, renewal terms, cancellation method, and withdrawal information before payment.

Monthly and yearly plans renew until cancelled. Online cancellation stops renewal and normally preserves access through the paid period. An eligible failed renewal may receive a 20-day grace period. Lifetime means access for the commercial life of the Community service, subject to legitimate enforcement and mandatory law.

6. Community uploads and creator content

You retain ownership of original content you upload. You grant Summum Editor a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, scan, reproduce, display, format, promote within the platform, and deliver that content as needed to operate the listing and fulfil purchases. This licence ends when the listing is permanently removed, except for completed customer entitlements, backups, disputes, and legal records.

You confirm that you own or have all permissions needed for the files, preview media, music, trademarks, names, and descriptions you upload. You may not upload pirated presets, malware, harmful scripts, personal data without authority, misleading claims, or content that infringes another person's rights.

7. Acceptable use

• Do not bypass paywalls, membership checks, download limits, moderation, or administrative controls.
• Do not probe, attack, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the platform except where mandatory law permits.
• Do not post unlawful, hateful, threatening, sexually exploitative, fraudulent, spam, or deliberately misplaced content.
• Do not use Summum Editor to distribute malware, stolen material, or deceptive commercial offers.
• Do not manipulate competitions, ratings, payouts, or community identity.

8. Summum Editor materials

The Summum Editor brand, site design, original course videos, briefs, written lessons, graphics, and house-made resources are protected by intellectual property law. Access is personal and does not transfer ownership. Unless a specific licence says otherwise, you may use learning materials for your own education and portfolio practice but may not resell, redistribute, publicly upload, or republish them.

9. Founding and marketplace access

Founding membership is human-approved, limited to five new acceptances per calendar month, and grants lifetime Community access only. An owner acceptance or a verified Founding role in the official community server can independently establish that entitlement. Founding status does not promise jobs, income, clients, or future paid products.

Marketplace browsing is public. Buying does not require a paid membership, while selling requires a verified Summum identity and completed payment onboarding. Marketplace purchases are governed by the Marketplace Terms, Seller Agreement, Standard Commercial Licence, Digital Content Terms, and Refund and Cancellation Policy.

10. Moderation, suspension, and termination

We may remove content, restrict features, suspend, or terminate an account when reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce these Terms, investigate fraud or infringement, comply with law, or secure the platform. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to respond. You may stop using the service and request account deletion at any time.

11. Availability and educational disclaimer

We aim to provide a reliable and useful service, but prelaunch and online services may contain errors, interruptions, or changing features. Course material is educational and does not guarantee employment, income, client results, competition success, or mastery. You remain responsible for creative, technical, business, and legal decisions made using the material.

12. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, mandatory consumer rights, or any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. To the extent permitted by law, Summum Editor is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of opportunity, or losses caused solely by third-party outages, unauthorised user conduct, or material uploaded by users.

For paid services, any permitted aggregate liability will not exceed the amount you paid for the affected service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This limit does not apply where mandatory law requires otherwise.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms for legal, security, operational, or product reasons. Material changes will be announced on the site or through an essential account notice. If renewed agreement is needed, account-only access will require acceptance of the new version. Changes do not remove rights already acquired under mandatory law.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Dutch law. If you are a consumer, you also keep any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings available under the law of your country of residence. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern promptly.
